After setting up your account, learn to manage trades and track performance on MetaTrader 4 (MT4).
1. Managing Trades: Modify or Delete
In fast markets, adjust your open positions as needed.
- Modify a Trade: Open the Terminal window, right-click your open order under the Trade tab, select Modify or Delete Order, then set or change Stop Loss (SL) and Take Profit (TP). Confirm changes by clicking the bar below.
- Close a Trade: Right-click the trade and choose Close Order, or click the 'x' on the trade row.
- Pending Orders: Delete untriggered orders (Limit or Stop) via the right-click menu.
2. Tracking Performance: Balance & History
Monitor your balance and trade history through:
- MT4 Platform: View current balance and detailed past trades for performance analysis.
- Client Area on Website: Log in to see your secure account balance and full trading history.
These tools help you manage your account and make informed trading decisions.
3. Margin Calls & Stop Outs
A margin call happens when your account equity falls below required margin, prompting a request for more funds.
If funds aren't added, the platform will automatically close positions to prevent a negative balance.
- Stop-Out Level: At 30% of available margin, positions begin closing automatically to limit losses.
This protects your financial exposure and maintains account health during volatile markets.
